I'll admit the scenes you mention have some (serious) problems and if I were going to do it again, I'd do it differently. This story was a real learning experience for me. Hopefully I'll be less clumsy next time around. *crosses fingers*
Now, onto whether or not this is complete. Is it?
Yes. Well, this novel is at least. I've got two other Loukas novels in mind that would bring his story to a close (Across the Wide Desert and Upon the Deep Sea, respectively), but I don't think I'm going to write them. Honestly, there's just not much interest from readers, you know?
It's truly amazing and you should consider getting it published some day.
I would like to, but I don't think it's going to happen. I did send it out to agents when I finished it, but my craft leaves something to be desired and a gay polygamy fantasy novel was always going to be a hard sell. ;)
I really like the world of Edessa and I'd like other stories set there some day, but right now I think I'm taking a break.
Thanks again for taking the time to leave such generous feedback; it's really nice to hear people's reactions to the characters and I can always use more concrit.
